02 / ASSEMBLE
Print at actual size
Use A4 paper at 100% scale, double-sided with long-edge flipping. Turn off “fit to page.” Test one front and its corresponding reverse first; printer alignment varies.
Cut and sleeve
Cut along the crop marks. Use identical opaque sleeves or opaque card backing if thin paper lets the fronts show through. Story-backed cards need matching opaque-back sleeves for concealed play.
Set the table
Separate Free City and Continuity into 25-card starters. Print two A3 player mats or two sets of the tiled A4 mat, plus one shared Archive mat. Follow the quick rules to set up.
Why two card PDFs? The main play deck has identical backs. The alternate has individual novel passages on the reverse. Those passages identify facedown cards, so cover them with identical opaque sleeves during play. Even with the uniform backs, sleeve thin paper if the printing shows through.
