QUESTIONS
& ANSWERS.

The short version of what The Sleeper Archive is, how Archive 001 works, and where the physical project is heading.

What is The Sleeper Archive?

A literary collectible project built around illustrated archive records, story pages and physical cards. Archive 001 retells H. G. Wells' The Sleeper Awakes.

Do I need to know the H. G. Wells novel first?

No. Archive 001 is designed so that no prior knowledge is required. Readers who know Wells will recognise additional context and details, but the story is intended to stand on its own.

Is Archive 001 complete?

Yes. The digital Archive contains 25 illustrated chapters and 50 numbered records, covering the story from Graham's sleepless nights through the revised novel's ending.

Why 50 records?

Archive 001 assigns two base records to each of the novel's 25 chapters. The complete base sequence is therefore 001 / 050 through 050 / 050.

Are some story cards artificially rare?

No. The base story is meant to be completable. Numbering identifies a record's place in the Archive; rarity belongs to an edition or parallel, not to access to the story itself.

Is the project based on public-domain material?

Archive 001 uses H. G. Wells' revised The Sleeper Awakes as its source. The site's Source & Rights page identifies the text and provenance used by the project.

Is there a physical edition?

A physical Archive Edition is in development. The target format is a standard TCG-sized 63 × 88 mm card with restrained archival materials and packaging. Physical proofing comes before wider production.

Can I buy it now?

Not yet. The project will not announce a sale or crowdfunding campaign until the physical object, production economics and fulfilment path are ready. Official availability will be announced on the site and to the Founding List.

Is there a Kickstarter?

No Kickstarter campaign has been announced. If that changes, the official campaign will be linked from sleeperarchive.com.

What is the Founding List?

The Founding List is the project's low-frequency mailing list for physical-edition progress, record reveals, major production milestones and releases. It is self-hosted and can be left at any time.

Where can I discuss the Archive?

The Sleeper Archive Discord is the main community space for readers, collectors, record discussion, theories and production updates.

Will there be more Archives?

Archive 001 is the beginning of the project. Future Archives may extend beyond Wells into original material, but Archive 001 remains a complete and faithful first volume rather than a teaser for later mythology.
