GRAHAM: THE SAME MAN IN A DIFFERENT WORLD
The Sleeper needs to remain recognisably the same human being from Cornwall to the final aerial conflict.
Graham is now being treated as a continuous character rather than a different interpretation on every card.
His visual identity is lean, dark-haired, observant and visibly human rather than conventionally heroic. His Victorian silhouette remains legible after awakening, even when future materials and circumstances alter the details around him.
That continuity matters because Graham is the reader's measure of the future. The world becomes stranger; he should not.
From exhaustion to responsibility
His appearance can become cleaner, more formal and more resolved across the story, but the transformation should come from posture, clothing condition, expression and circumstance—not from changing his face.
The production rule
Once the definitive reference is approved, all future Graham artwork must be checked against it before becoming production art.
