THE FIRST RECORD TAKES FORM

Record 001 — Six Nights — is beginning its journey from illustrated scene to physical archive object.

Record 001 — Six Nights physical concept

Every archive begins with a first object.

For Archive 001, that object is Six Nights: the opening record of Graham’s story, before the trance, before the future, before the world learns his name.

The digital image was only the beginning. We are now exploring how that first record should feel in the hand — its weight, surface, edge, metallic detail and the quiet balance between image and archive.

The aim is not to make a louder trading card. It is to make something that feels recovered.

A card that belongs to the story

The physical format follows the familiar proportions of a standard TCG card, but the design language is deliberately restrained. The artwork remains dominant. Numbering, chapter information and the Archive identity sit around it like evidence marks rather than game mechanics.

Record 001 is numbered 001 / 050 because it is the first piece of a complete narrative sequence. The number tells you where the record belongs in the Archive. It does not tell you how rare it is.

Material, not spectacle

Our current direction favours dark stock, a matte or low-reflective surface and antique-gold accents used with restraint. A more elaborate Master Archive treatment may eventually introduce gilded edges and additional finishing, but the base object must already feel complete.

The first physical sample will tell us more than any screen can. Only then will the same system begin to move across the rest of Archive 001.

Why start with Six Nights?

Because the Archive should begin exactly where the story begins: with one exhausted man on the Cornish coast, still unaware that the world he knows is about to disappear.
